COVID-19

Open Democracy wanted an animation that was accessible to all, explaining that COVID-19 was not a random event but linked to how we treat the world. It was a challenge but our animator Dave did an amazing job of bringing complex issues to life in a simple and understandable way. One not to be missed!

What we liked

We loved the voice-over by the Guardian columnist George Monbiot, famous for his environmental and political activism.

Working with Hands Up was great – they took a complex narrative about the links COVID-19, capitalism and climate breakdown, and turned it into a powerful but accessible animation. Would highly recommend.
